Winterprinz, the son of the outstanding stallion Warkant, the designated Action Trotter for the Hanoverian Verband at Celle, typifies the very best of Hanoverian breeding. Sired out of a States Premium mare who was awarded Champion 3-year-old mare of Germany, he received his Elite status and breeding license at Medingen, Germany. Following his 100 day testing, Winterprinz was awarded first place in dressage, achieving top scores in temperament, rideability, character and gaits.

Winterprinz, a glistening true black, exhibits all of the desirable characteristics of the modern Hanoverian. As a foal at his mother's side, he was awarded the German Championship and Reserve European Championship. Winterprinz's two foals of 1998, one of which is in the United States, are exquisite in their conformation and exhibit both his sire's and dam's championship characteristics. Winterprinz is licensed by the German Hanoverian Verband and the American Hanoverian Society. Winterprinz descends from two of the most sought after bloodlines. His mothers sire Weltmeyer was the 1986 winner of the stallion licensing in Verden and in 1987 was winner of the stallion performance test and the Three year old Bundeschampion in Warendorf. In 1998 Weltmeyer became Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. By 2000 he has produced 70 licensed sons.
