Performance record: At the stallion performance test, Feiner Stern achived the score of 9.0 four times (Ability to work, Trot, Canter, and Rideability) and got more than 120 points in the final results. Due to this performance, in combination with a convincing first crop, as well as his impressive appearance (type and trot), he was awarded the title of Main Premium Champion Stallion in Oldenburg (1987).

Origin: Freiherr is probably the most prominent son of the famous foundation sire Furioso II. The dam-sire Goldstern sired versatile and uncomplicated performance horses. His offspring are very popular among riders. The grandam, Ramona, produced a number of good sporting horses, i.a. Pegasus, Kastellan, Kaprizio and Gonzo. Her sire Romulus II was a grandson of Radetzky and a full-brother to the proven sire Romulus I, the sire of Romadour.

Approved sons: 18 including Fair Play, Feinbrand, Feiner Herr, Fabulist, Feiner Egon, Feiner Ludwig, Feinklang, Ferando, Fitz Roy, Fixstern, Freigano, Fats, Ferryman.

2001 Feiner Stern / Bonjour   Res. Champion 100 day test at Prusseldorf

States Premium Mares: 26 including Esperanza, Kiruna, Korbnelke, Ferry, Feiner Dame, Tantieme.

Breeding record: His first batch of foals brought 4 approved sons, among them Feinbrand, the first vice champion, and Fair Play, the second vice champion of the 1989 stallion approvals in Oldenburg. Feinbrand and Fitz Roy successfully represented their breeding area at the 1990 German Riding Horse Championships in Verden, where they gained third and fourth placements in the preliminary competitions. Fitz Roy and Feiner Herr impressively highlighted their sires’ covering debut by being sold at the Vechta Autumn auction for DM 40,000 and DM 73,000 respectively. The true-to-type mare Kiruna caused a stir in 1991 by winning a I-e state premium. Fantastic Champ was sold through the Vechta foal sales for DM 29,000, whereas Feiner Dame was the top-priced-lot of the broodmare sales in Verden in 1992 at DM 35,000. Not to forget, that Feinbrand was the Oldenburg champion 5-year-old dressage horse in Rastede. In the meantime, Feiner Stern has become a purveyor of top priced lots at the Verden and Vechta auctions, where in the spring of 1994, Flamenco and Fashionable changed stables for DM 130,000 and DM 150,000 respectively. The approved stallion Fair Play was sold to Bavaria at the Vechta spring auction and in the spring of 1996, he caused another stir with Feeling Fellow, who obtained a further peak price of DM 200,000. The FN breeding value lists Feiner Stern with a strongly secured breeding value for dressage, which counts him among the top sires Germany-wide.

StarChase colt Ultra Fein was sired by Feiner Stern.
